The Fairer Traveler
After spending an extremely leisurely Sunday afternoon relaxing in our guesthouse enjoying the wonders of the internet and a good book, Kelly and I ventured out to have a date night at a local Italian restaurant that we had seen the evening before. Maybe its the lack of carbs or just being homesick, but I have been craving pasta and garlic bread for two days straight, so we headed out.
Now it had started raining a few hours before we decided to get ready to go out (and when I say raining - I literally mean pouring, flooding, lighting and thunder!) So we put on our rain jackets and braved the weather. Ten minutes later, soaking from the waist down Kelly and I arrived at the carb emporium and set to work ordering some garlic bread, margarita pizza for Kel and some tagliatelle bolognese for me. It was heaven in my MOUTH! So delicious!!! We sat next to a fish tank where we critiqued the fishes behavior and listened to the (what we think was a mission trips dinner party talk about Cambodia). It was a very pleasant evening and when we were done the rain had subsided so we were able to walk back home without water up to our ankles, pausing to, of course, kiss in the rain.
It is monsoon season of course.....
